Our mission at the Giro D’Italia made it possible to ensure the transport and temperature-controlled storage of<\/b>food products destined for the event’s official catering company, Sport Catering – AE Ristorazione Srl<\/b>, which is responsible for catering for athletes, technical staff and organization personnel.<\/p>\n
For the entire duration of the Giro, a refrigerated truck and tractor<\/b>, each entrusted to an experienced driver, followed the staff along the 21 stages<\/b>, from Fushe Kruje<\/b>, Albania<\/b>, to the triumphant arrival in Rome<\/b>. These were joined by a support tractor, in charge of supply trips, which ensured the regular and timely supply of food items.
\nThe drivers involved in this edition were Fabio Marelli, Gazmend Sula and Luiz Barraza<\/b>. We collected their impressions because the spirit with which they approached this assignment tells more than a road trip: it tells who we are.
\n<\/b><\/p>\n
Fabio Marelli<\/b>, driving the main engine, followed each start with consistency and precision. Long days, punctuated by the progress of the race, challenged him by pushing him to give his best. \u201cMaximum flexibility being able to count on a close-knit team behind you,\u201d he recounted, was the biggest lesson. <\/p>\n
For Milton Gazmend Sula<\/b>, who followed the arrival stages with the refrigerated buggy, it was his first experience at the Giro. Every day was a discovery, between commitment, beauty of places and unexpected encounters.
\nLuiz Barraza<\/b>, in charge of the support tractor, also experienced dynamic and intense days. But the passion for driving and the strength of the group turned difficulties into motivation and each stop into an opportunity to be surprised by unexpected landscapes. <\/p>\n
The adaptability<\/b> of the three protagonists was a key element: despite the tight rhythms and non-standard logistical situations, the drivers were able to adapt, thanks to their professionalism and commitment representing the values of Brivio & Vigan\u00f2 at their best. One of the elements that contributed to the success was the ability of our drivers to professionally use the potential of the vehicles and the available technology: the use of the latest generation of refrigerated vehicles, equipped with real-time monitoring systems, ensured compliance with the cold chain and constant control of transport conditions.<\/b> <\/p>\n
Also crucial was the work of theTraffic Office<\/b>, which coordinated every move with surgical precision. The ability to plan and problem solve in real time made all the difference, ensuring a timely, safe and always aligned service to the needs of the important event. <\/p>\n
A total of more than 16,700 kilometers were covered<\/b>: a challenge of 29 consecutive days<\/b>, from May 3 to June 2, faced between long transfers and rhythms punctuated by the demands of the race. Compared to previous editions, this year we extended our coverage to the entire route, demonstrating our ability to operate even on international routes and in complex operational contexts, even outside national borders. An achievement that highlights the flexibility, reliability and guarantee of our service. <\/p>\n
We are proud to have taken part in the success of this edition of the Giro d’Italia, providing our experience to support the quality of the entire logistics chain, with an eye always on food safety, punctuality and compliance with current regulations<\/b>.
