As part of the consolidation of the organization and the strengthening of sustainability, in 2020 the Brivio & Viganò Group launched the project for the application of Legislative Decree 231/2001 regarding the administrative liability of entities. In the early months of 2021, it introduced its Group Ethical Code – applicable to all companies in the Group – and in November of the same year, the Boards of Directors of B. & V. Holding S.p.A., Autotrasporti Brivio & Viganò S.r.l., and Brivio & Viganò Logistics S.r.l. approved the adoption of their own Organization and Control Model pursuant to the regulation. The Supervisory Bodies (OdV) for the three companies were then appointed, to whom reports of violations and/or information strictly related to the application of the Decree and the compliance with the Model can be sent (OdV email addresses: odvholding@brivioevigano.it; odvautotrasporti@brivioevigano.it; odvlogistic@brivioevigano.it).
Compliance
Compliance with regulations and internal directives is a fundamental element in all our activities. Legality has always been a defining characteristic of how we do business.
Whistleblowing
On 30/07/2023, the Board of Directors of B. & V. Holding S.p.A. approved the implementation of the provisions of Legislative Decree No. 24/2023, which enacts EU Directive 1937/2019 on Whistleblowing, through the definition of a specific procedure that outlines methods, tools, and rules that are also valid for the Group’s companies, Brivio & Viganò Logistics S.r.l. and Autotrasporti Brivio & Viganò S.r.l.
Whistleblowing is a crucial corporate compliance tool, allowing employees or third parties (such as suppliers or customers) to report, in a confidential and protected manner, any misconduct encountered during their activities. The term “whistleblower” is a metaphor for the role of referee or police officer assumed by someone who calls attention to illegal or prohibited activities, so that they can be stopped.
A “whistleblower” is thus a person who decides to report a wrongdoing, fraud, or hazard identified during their work activities (or, in the case of a customer, during their experience as a client of a company). Whistleblowing is the practice of reporting violations of laws or regulations, crimes, and cases of corruption or fraud, as well as situations that pose a risk to public health and safety.
To make the procedure fully operational, a dedicated reporting platform has been opened to all interested parties, accessible via the following link.
